We return to the high speeds and rollings hills of Sonoma Raceway. With a tough weekend last year Kanga Motorsports is looking forward to an improved outing and better results. Races 7 & 8 for the SCCA San Francisco Region Championship and the only weekend for SCCA at the challenging course.
The first weekend of the year at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Races 5 & 6 for the SCCA San Francisco Region Championship we compete at the world famous street course.
Returning to Thunderhill Raceway in May the cooler temperatures give way to the heat changing the on track condition. Fresh from the SCCA Majors we will be ready to compete in Races 3 & 4 of the SCCA San Francisco Region Championship.
We return to Thunderhill Raceway for the SCCA Majors. The Majors sees some of the best racers on the West Coast competing for the Western Conference Championship.
The season opener, time to shake of the rust and cobwebs, lets go racing. The weekend features Races 1 & 2 of the SCCA San Francisco Championship. Lets see if my experience from the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill helps me improve my speed and race craft.
Kanga Motorsports driver James Chartres will be competing with CSR Performance. in the longest endurance race in North America, the NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill. We will be racing in the ESR category with a modified Gen3 Spec Racer Ford.
The series finale for the SCCA San Francisco Region the last opportunity of the year for the racers to bring any of the new found speed and move up the standings.
The only race of the season at Sonoma Raceway for the San Francisco region. The 12 turn 2.52 mile (4.06 km) circuit with plenty of elevation change only provides a single weekend and few opportunities for the SCCA SFR racers to do it right and bring home the points.
Return to Thunderhill after the Majors race. Hopefully with some new found speed from competing with the best racers of the Western Conference in the SCCA Majors.
